We loved the peaceful vibe and the large windows that let in plenty of natural light, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Just a heads-up, the outside area could use a little sprucing up and it felt a bit less secure initially, but once inside, everything was cozy and inviting. 🌟

So, I recently checked into this apartment, and I have to say, it had some real highs and lows. Let’s start with the good stuff first. The space was surprisingly spacious, which was perfect for our little family. We had rooms set apart for everyone, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed – utensils, pots, pans, and even a sparkling clean electric kettle that was great for morning tea. The dining area felt cozy, making family meals a pretty pleasant experience. There was also a nice flat-screen TV, but fair warning—definitely not a smart one, so you’ll be missing out on Netflix and whatnot. Now, the cleanliness was a bit of a mixed bag. The apartment itself was newly decorated and looked fresh, but once I peeked under a couple of things, it was a different story. Moved the coffee table to create some play space for my toddler and, oh boy, it was pretty grim under there—like, old food grim. And I had to wash the kitchen equipment before using it because it wasn't exactly sparkling. The sitting area was nice in theory, but the sofas were really hard and small, which didn’t invite a lot of lounging around. My toddler, of course, loved to jump around, but I was nervous every time he did because those floorboards were so creaky. Speaking of which, the plumbing made these weird loud noises that were alarming, especially during the night. I’m a fan of some comfort when it comes to sleeping, and the bed situation wasn’t cutting it. They had two singles pushed together for a 'double,' and it created quite the ridge in the middle. Plus, I found what looked like a blood-stained duvet—yikes. The sheets had dirty marks too. I tried to layer up with an extra duvet, but nothing could hide that hard, lumpy bed. I loved the bathroom space—it was spacious and clean, but there was a few issues like a rusty toilet roll holder and some black mold around the shower tray. Not fun. Oh, and the extractor fan was dusty, which wasn’t reassuring. There was no way to shut out the light outside since there were no curtains on the windows, making it hard to get good sleep. Parking was a huge hassle; they have just a few spaces available, and it's all first come first served. I’d hate to be stuck trying to find street parking in that area at night. The heating worked well enough, and there was a washing machine, which made things easier with a baby. But there was no dryer, so be prepared for some long drying times if you need to wash clothes. No grocery shopping service or welcome drink, which I thought was a bit of a letdown too. The area itself didn’t give me a safe vibe, even though inside the apartment felt okay. So, yeah, really enjoyed some parts, but there were definitely quite a few areas that left me a bit disappointed.

The spacious rooms with kitchen facilities and modern showers were impressive, and the location just a short 4-6 minute walk from Portland Walk was fantastic.
